  • What is the difference between a Battery Powered device and a Mains Powered device
Battery Powered devices are powered by a rechargeable battery which make them portable and ideal for surveillance on the move. Mains Powered devices are powered by being plugged in to an electrical power socket. These items are great for fixed surveillance in an area, as the mains powered devices don't rely on batteries they don't need to be recharged to operate.
  • 2G and 4G - What is the difference and what is GSM anyway?
2G and 4G are two different technologies that devices use to connect to mobile networks and make calls. Both technologies are fully supported in the UK by network providers like Vodafone, O2, and EE. 2G, also known as GSM, has smaller device sizes and better battery life, and can make calls even in areas with weak signal strength, making it reliable for those in rural or remote areas. Meanwhile, 4G offers wider network support in the UK and other countries. When choosing between 2G and 4G, consider your needs and preferences. Also, if you plan to use your device abroad, make sure to check for compatibility with local networks.
  • Can I change the Phone Number of the devices?
Yes! The phone number is determined by the SIM Card that is inserted into the device, which can be changed to a compatible network provider of your choice. A good option is pay-as-you go Sim Cards that can be picked up at most shops.
  • How does the GPS tracking work?
The GPS tracking works when you send the device phone number a text message with a special code. The device will then message you back with a link to a map showing the location of the device at that time. The benefit of our devices is that you don't need to register for an online service, simply have text credit on the sim card so the device can send you messages and you are ready to go!
  • How do I listen-in once the device has been placed?
Once the device has been switched on and placed in the desired area, simply call the number of the SIM Card inside the device, the device will answer automatically when you call it and you can hear the surrounding sounds and conversations.
